Greek Carers\u00a0Network EPIONI organizes on 28 and 29 September 2020, with the support of the European Parliament office in Athens, the 4th meeting focusing on informal carers. The event will take place online and is under the auspices of the Hellenic Psychiatric Society. The event will address ways to deal with depression and the European dimension of the phenomenon that affects patients and caregivers.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the implementation of the European directive on caregivers is still pending in Greece.<\/p>\n

The two-day meeting will host important scientists such as professor of psychiatry Mr George Christodoulou, Dr Dimitrios Kontis, Dr Kalliopi Panagiotopoulou, professor Philip Gorwood, president of the European Psychiatric Association (EPA), psychiatrist Georgia Balta and representatives of caregivers. Mr Haris Kountouros will represent the European Parliament office in Greece.<\/p>\n

EPIONI will collaborate with the European Psychiatric Association, Eurocarers and Belgian Brain Council for the realization of this online information event.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
