{"id":1582,"date":"2020-10-12T10:22:28","date_gmt":"2020-10-12T10:22:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/epioni.gr\/?p=1582"},"modified":"2020-10-12T10:22:28","modified_gmt":"2020-10-12T10:22:28","slug":"share4brain-project-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epioni.gr\/en\/share4brain-project-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Share4Brain project update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1549 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/epioni.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/image1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"416\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/epioni.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/image1.jpeg 2016w, https:\/\/epioni.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/image1-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/epioni.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/image1-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/epioni.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/image1-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/epioni.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/image1-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/epioni.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/image1-1080x810.jpeg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 416px) 100vw, 416px\" \/>The Erasmus+ program &#8220;Exchange of Good Practices for Brain Education in Europe&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.share4brain.eu\/\">Share4Brain<\/a>), draws the attention of academics and the public as well as relevant public institutions to the importance of basic and clinical research in neuroscience for better prevention, diagnosis and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders.<\/p>\n<p>The Share4Brain project brings together patients, brain researchers, scientists, clinicians and carers from Europe with a view to promote brain research and raise public awareness about the societal and personal impact of brain disease.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project meeting\u00a0was held virtually on 28-29 September 2020 with the support of the European Parliament office in Greece.<\/p>\n<p>The project brings together organizations from Belgium (<a href=\"https:\/\/braincouncil.be\/\">Belgian Brain Council<\/a>), Greece (Greek Carers Network EPIONI and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), Italy (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cvbf.net\/it\/\">CVBF<\/a>), Serbia (<a href=\"https:\/\/sbc.ac.rs\/about-us\/\">Serbian Brain Council<\/a>) and Spain (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.consejocerebro.es\/\">Spanish Brain Council<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>At the project meeting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 We discussed the progress of the project and the need to raise public awareness about brain\u00a0conditions and disseminate the project results and activities via the media, relevant brochures and a dedicated website. We also formulated a joint strategy to\u00a0bring competent politicians to support the objectives of the project and accordingly come\u00a0closer to relevant decision-making positions.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 We conducted a virtual focus group with patients living with depression<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 We held three events entitled:<\/p>\n<p>1) Share4Brain: Addressing\u00a0 the growing prevalence of depression in Europe<br \/>\n2) Caring for Carers: Dealing with Depression<span class=\"im\"><br \/>\n3) 6th Meeting of the Academy of National Brain Councils.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Erasmus+ program &#8220;Exchange of Good Practices for Brain Education in Europe&#8221; (Share4Brain), draws the attention of academics and the public as well as relevant public institutions to the importance of basic and clinical research in neuroscience for better prevention, diagnosis and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders.
