{"id":413,"date":"2018-03-06T13:31:44","date_gmt":"2018-03-06T13:31:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/epioni.gr\/new\/?p=413"},"modified":"2020-04-06T16:01:27","modified_gmt":"2020-04-06T16:01:27","slug":"european-forum-for-good-clinical-practice-efgcp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epioni.gr\/en\/european-forum-for-good-clinical-practice-efgcp\/","title":{"rendered":"European Forum for Good Clinical Practice (EFGCP)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-519 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/epioni.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/logo-baseline-cmijk.png\" alt=\"LOGO-Baseline-CMIJK\" width=\"199\" height=\"129\" \/>The European Forum for Good Clinical Practice (EFGCP) was founded during a conference at the European Parliament in 1993 with the support of the European Commission.\u00a0 Since its creation, EFGCP has functioned as a\u00a0<strong>leading European think tank for discussion<\/strong>, research, and critical evaluation in the development of European health research.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">EFGCP is a non-profit organisation established\u00a0<strong>by and for individuals<\/strong>\u00a0with a professional involvement in the conduct of biomedical research.\u00a0 Its purpose is\u00a0<strong>to promote Good Clinical Practice<\/strong>\u00a0(GCP) and encourage the practice of common, high-quality standards in all stages of biomedical research throughout Europe and globally.\u00a0 The EFGCP does this by promoting\u00a0<strong>contact and partnership<\/strong>\u00a0between the major disciplines and organisations affected by good clinical practice: pharmaceutical companies; contract research organisations; suppliers of services, systems and equipment; academia; investigators; ethics committees; regulatory authorities; patient organisations; etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Each year, EFGCP\u00a0<strong>organises international conferences<\/strong>\u00a0in Brussels focusing on vital topics related to Good Clinical Practice.\u00a0 Years after years, with the help of its Working Parties, EFGCP has initiated\u00a0<strong>thought-provoking Forum discussions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Geographically located in the heart of Europe, EFGCP places itself in the centre of a pan-European effort to create a single area for clinical trials that\u00a0<strong>concern 700 million people<\/strong>.\u00a0 EFGCP is striving forward to make patients anywhere in Europe\u00a0<strong>feel they can confidently get involved in a clinical trial<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">EFGCP is a forum open to all those who want to contribute in Europe and globally to the best possible conditions for good clinical research.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Greek Carers Network EPIONI participated in the 2018 Annual EFGCP conference &#8220;<em>Compliance Complexity Collaboration:\u00a0<\/em><span class=\"sub-title\"><em>Proposals for System Re-design to Master the Human Factor and Risk Management<\/em>&#8221;\u00a0 20 and 21 February 2018, in Belgium.
