{"id":6781,"date":"2025-06-05T09:42:52","date_gmt":"2025-06-05T09:42:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/epioni.gr\/?p=6781"},"modified":"2025-06-05T10:26:01","modified_gmt":"2025-06-05T10:26:01","slug":"epioni-participated-in-a-training-session-in-cyprus-as-part-of-the-european-project-aha4autism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epioni.gr\/en\/epioni-participated-in-a-training-session-in-cyprus-as-part-of-the-european-project-aha4autism\/","title":{"rendered":"EPIONI participated in a training session in Cyprus as part of the European project AHA4Autism."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On May 22nd and 23rd, our colleagues Dimitra Christopoulou and Marios Boukakegias participated in the international meeting of the European project <a href=\"https:\/\/aha4autism.eu\/\">AHA4Autism<\/a> in Limassol, Cyprus, together with partners from Italy, Spain, and Cyprus.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>Exchange of Good Practices for Active and Healthy Ageing<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The AHA4Autism project focuses on the exchange of <strong>good practices for Active and Healthy Ageing of adults with Autism and their caregivers<\/strong>. As individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders live longer, they face unique challenges in the ageing process that require a specialized approach and tailored support.<\/p>\n<p>Our collaboration aims to create a network of knowledge and experience that will facilitate the development of innovative solutions for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promoting autonomy and independence<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"40\" data-end=\"82\">\n<p data-start=\"42\" data-end=\"82\">Maintaining physical and mental health<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"83\" data-end=\"117\">\n<p data-start=\"85\" data-end=\"117\">Enhancing social participation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Supporting families and caregivers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>Presentation of Good Practices from Greece<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, good practices from Europe and the United States were presented:<\/p>\n<p>Marios and Dimitra presented the good practice<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aha4autism.eu\/\"> Autism Friendly Initiative <\/a><\/strong>of the Boston Medical Center, which is an innovative approach to creating autism-friendly environments in the healthcare sector.
