{"id":7241,"date":"2025-10-09T08:01:50","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T08:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/epioni.gr\/?p=7241"},"modified":"2025-10-09T08:01:50","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T08:01:50","slug":"epioni-facilitates-job-shadowing-of-mental-health-professionals-from-belgium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epioni.gr\/en\/epioni-facilitates-job-shadowing-of-mental-health-professionals-from-belgium\/","title":{"rendered":"EPIONI Facilitates Job Shadowing of Mental Health Professionals from Belgium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"196\" data-end=\"442\">The Greek Carers Network <strong data-start=\"221\" data-end=\"231\">EPIONI<\/strong> had the honour to facilitate a <strong data-start=\"272\" data-end=\"308\">job shadowing mobility programme<\/strong> for <strong data-start=\"313\" data-end=\"387\">five mental health professionals from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cp-st-martin.be\/\">CNP Saint Martin<\/a> (Dave, Belgium)<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"391\" data-end=\"409\">Athens, Greece<\/strong>, from <strong data-start=\"416\" data-end=\"439\">5 to 9 October 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"444\" data-end=\"686\">This professional exchange took place within the framework of the <strong data-start=\"510\" data-end=\"566\">Erasmus+ Programme (2024-1-BE01-KA121-VET-000200268)<\/strong> and aimed to promote the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the field of community-based mental health care.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"688\" data-end=\"834\">During their stay, the participants visited several <strong data-start=\"740\" data-end=\"797\">public and non-profit mental health service providers<\/strong> across the Athens area, including:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"835\" data-end=\"1492\">\n<li data-start=\"835\" data-end=\"976\">\n<p data-start=\"837\" data-end=\"976\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psyhat.gr\/el\/content\/%CE%BC%CE%BF%CE%BD%CE%AC%CE%B4%CE%B1-%CE%B3%CE%BD%CF%89%CF%83%CE%B9%CE%B1%CE%BA%CE%AE%CF%82-%CE%B1%CF%80%CE%BF%CE%BA%CE%B1%CF%84%CE%AC%CF%83%CF%84%CE%B1%CF%83%CE%B7%CF%82\"><strong data-start=\"841\" data-end=\"880\">Cognitive Rehabilitation Unit (CRU)<\/strong> <\/a>at the Multidisciplinary Mental Health Hospital of Attica, founded by <em data-start=\"951\" data-end=\"973\">Dr. Dimitrios Kontis<\/em>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"977\" data-end=\"1101\">\n<p data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1101\">Two <strong data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1015\">Day Centres<\/strong> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pepsaee.gr\/\">PEPSAEE<\/a> in Athens<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1215\">\n<p data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"1215\">The <strong data-start=\"1108\" data-end=\"1151\">PEPSAEE Day Centre for Employee Support<\/strong> in Aigaleo, offering psychological and employability support;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1371\">\n<p data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1371\">The <strong data-start=\"1222\" data-end=\"1270\">Social Cooperative Enterprise <a href=\"https:\/\/koispe-euzin.gr\/\">KOISPE EV ZEEN<\/a><\/strong>, supporting people with mental health challenges through vocational training and social inclusion;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1372\" data-end=\"1492\">\n<p data-start=\"1374\" data-end=\"1492\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/ekpse.gr\/en\"><strong data-start=\"1378\" data-end=\"1429\">Society of Social Psychiatry P. Sakellaropoulos<\/strong><\/a>, focusing on psychosocial support and community integration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1788\">The programme also featured cultural and networking activities, including visits to the <strong data-start=\"1582\" data-end=\"1602\">Acropolis Museum<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1608\" data-end=\"1690\">National Library of Greece and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center<\/strong>, as well as professional meetings with experts, service users, and representatives from EPIONI.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1790\" data-end=\"2027\">A highlight of the visit was the participation in the <strong data-start=\"1844\" data-end=\"1872\">European Carers Day 2025<\/strong> event organised by EPIONI at the <strong data-start=\"1906\" data-end=\"1953\">Office of the European Parliament in Greece<\/strong>, under the theme <em data-start=\"1971\" data-end=\"2025\">\u201cInvisible No More: Let\u2019s See &amp; Value Migrant Care.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2029\" data-end=\"2350\">This fruitful collaboration strengthened the bonds between Belgian and Greek mental health professionals and reaffirmed the importance of <strong data-start=\"2167\" data-end=\"2233\">European cooperation, continuous training, and mutual learning<\/strong> in improving the quality of care and support for people living
