On Thursday 6.10.2022, a hybrid event was held at the Amarilia Hotel in Vouliagmeni on the occasion of European Carer’s Day, focusing on equality in care.
The event featured welcome speaches by MEP’s Elena Kountoura and Stelios Kympouropoulos.
The event hosted notable speakers such as Ms Anna Bimou, Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, who talked about caring relationships of children and young people in parental mental disorder and psychiatrist Ms Sladjana Ivezic who talked about good practices in supporting caregivers from Croatia. Finally, Mr Christos Prapas, Lecturer in Practice at the University of West Attica, talked about the prevention of depression in caregivers and health promotion in the community.
The event was under the auspices of the office of the European Parliament in Greece, the region of Attica, the municipality of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni, the Hellenic Psychiatric Association and Eurocarers.
