We are pleased to share that preparations are underway for the Erasmus+ project Pathways to Recovery (2025-1-SE01-KA210-ADU-000351298), a small-scale initiative set to begin on 4 December 2025 and run until 3 August 2027. The project aims to support the recovery journey of individuals living with mental health conditions and to empower the informal carers who accompany them.
A Fruitful Preliminary Meeting
Our partners — Schizofreniförbundet (Sweden), Recovery IPSS (Portugal), and EUFAMI (Belgium) — recently came together for a preliminary virtual meeting to lay the foundation for our collaboration. This first gathering set the tone for a thoughtful and impactful project.
The discussion focused on:
-
Strategies for promoting recovery for adults facing mental health challenges
-
The essential role of informal caregivers across Europe
-
Coordinating educational and awareness activities across partner countries
This meeting marks the beginning of a shared journey to improve understanding, gather good practices, and advocate for better support systems across Europe.
What We Aim to Achieve
The Pathways to Recovery project will:
-
Share effective methods for mental health recovery
-
Promote education and training for professionals
-
Raise awareness about the needs of informal carers
-
Ultimately improve the quality of life for people with mental health challenges and their families
Upcoming Activities
The project will include a series of learning activities and public awareness events aligned with key international days:
-
🇬🇷 Aegina, Greece: Learning activity during European Mental Health Week (21–24 May 2026) organised by EPIONI.
-
🇵🇹 Portugal: Activities for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 2026)
