We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the “Creativity with MBCT” Erasmus project meeting held in Athens, Greece the 4th and 5th of April 2023. Over the course of two days, participants from Greece, Turkey, Spain, France, and Italy had ample opportunities to interact, exchange ideas, and build professional relationships.

Throughout the meeting, there were engaging discussions on the intersection of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) and creativity. Attendees shared their experiences, insights, and best practices in integrating mindfulness techniques into creative processes, such as art, music, writing, and drama. The diverse perspectives from different countries and backgrounds enriched the conversations and sparked new ideas for incorporating MBCT into creative practices.

In addition to the fruitful discussions, the meeting also featured workshops, presentations, and interactive activities that allowed participants to experience firsthand the practical applications of MBCT in fostering creativity. These activities provided valuable tools and techniques that participants can implement in their own creative endeavors and share with their respective communities.

The meeting also fostered a sense of camaraderie and collaboration among the participants. Networking opportunities and informal exchanges during breaks and social events facilitated the building of professional relationships, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

As the concluding session came to a close, participants left with a renewed sense of inspiration, motivation, and a deepened understanding of the potential of MBCT in enhancing creativity. The “Creativity with MBCT” project in Athens was a resounding success, and we are grateful for the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals from different countries and cultures. We look forward to continuing the momentum of this project and exploring new possibilities for incorporating mindfulness and creativity in our respective fields.
